May 23, 2005 – CLUB CHARTER

July 11, 2006 – Installation of Club Officers for 2006-2007 (John Brown)

July 14, 2006 – Toastmasters Promise distributed electronically to all members

July 2006 – President's Distinguished Club Award for 2005-2006 received (9 of 10 points)

July 25, 2006 – Executive Officers vote to approve Club to pay for and/or reimburse all contest fees for Club members

July 25, 2006 – Executive Officers vote to approve Club to pay for and/or reimburse all training fees for Club officers

August 2006 – Toastmasters Meeting Script revised

August 2006 – Investigated subsidizing student TM fees with Roger Godin – offer declined – officers agreed the students should pay their fees – Student Activities dollars are available only to student-run organizations

August 2006 – Hot Seat Speaker position at a regular meeting changes to Hot Seat Position

September 20, 2006 – President Tom Mahoney sent Request for Funding Letter to President Fry at F&M

November 14, 2006 – Executive Officers vote to approve OPEN CLUB

November 28, 2006 – Members of the Club vote to approve OPEN CLUB

December 5, 2006 – VP Education Greg Schuman, assigned mentor/mentee assignments

December 6, 2006 – President, Tom Mahoney sent Budget Request to Rob Jinks of the F&M Budget Priorities Committee

December 12, 2006 – F&M awarded Budget Line Item in the amount of $765 to Club for educational supplies

March 27, 2007 – President Tom Mahoney's President's Challenge approved by the Executive Officers– Challenge ends June 30, 2007

May 22, 2007 –Elections of the Executive Officers for the Year 2007-2008 were held

July 2007 -New Club Officers Inducted

July 2007 - Club attains Select Distinguished Club Award

November 9-10 2007  District Conference - John Brown, Nancy Holder, Marian Joyce, Beth Rudy and Tom Mahoney all attend.  Tom is AV Chair.

Contests

August 2006  Area 10 Evaluation Contest (President Tom Mahoney was the model speaker.)

September 16, 2006 – Area 10 & 27 – Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest at Lancaster Public Library (VP Education Greg Schuman was a contestant in the Humorous Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest.  President Tom Mahoney was a contestant in the Table Topics Contest.  Marian Joyce served as a judge? Winner: VP Education Greg Schuman was winner in Humorous Speech Contest.)

September 21, 2006 – Area 13 – Table Topics Contest in Wyomissing (Secretary Sandy Atkins and Mentor John Brown served as judges for the event)

March 31, 2007 – Area 10 & 27 – International Speech and Evaluation Speech Contests at Grace Baptist Church (President Tom Mahoney was a contestant in the International Speech Contest.  VP Membership Varo Duffins was a contestant in the Evaluation Speech Contest.  Winners: It was a clean sweep for F&M with President Tom Mahoney, taking first in the International Speech Contest and Varo Duffins, taking first place in the Evaluation Contest.  Mentor John Brown was a contestant in both events and also the winner in both events representing Area 27.

April 14, 2007 – Division A – International Speech and Evaluation Speech Contests at Grace Baptist Church (President Tom Mahoney was a contestant in the International Speech Contest.  VP Membership Varo Duffins was a contestant in the Evaluation Speech Contest.  Winner: Mentor John Brown was also first place winner in both events.)

April 27 & 28, 2007 – District 38, Division A thru G – International Speech and Evaluation Speech Contests at Grantville (Mentor John Brown was a contestant in both events.)

June 2007 – Region VII Atlantic Seaboard – Club did not participate

August 2007 – International Convention – Club did not participate

October 7, 2007 - Club Table Topics winner Brian Dombach takes first place in the Area 10 Contest and Club Humorous Speech Contest winner Sandy Atkins finished a strong second.

March 15, 2008 - Area 10A International Speech and Evaluation Contests. Sandy Atkins competes and wins.

April 5, 2008 - F&M hosts the Area 10 and 27 International Speech and Evaluation Contest. Sandy Atkins competes.

Special Event Activities:

November 10 & 11, 2006 – District 38 Fall Conference held in Trevose (President Tom Mahoney attended and served as AV Chair for the event.)

November 21, 2006 – Speak-a-thon (Speaking Event) (Toastmaster: John Brown.  Participants: Sandy Atkins, Tom Mahoney, Jane Price.  Winner:  Sandy Atkins.)

November 10, 2007 District 38 Conference in Morgantown. Tom Mahoney is AV Chair. Several members attend.

March 13, 2007 – Optimist Club Youth Oratory Contest (President Tom Mahoney served a contest judge.)

 

May 2-3 2008 - District 38 Spring Conference held in Exton. Sandy Atkins and Nancy Holder attend.

October 20, 2006 –News article published in Lancaster Intelligencer Journal (B6) Business Monday – naming the F&M Club Executive Officers

November 1, 2006 –F&M House Prefects contacted and sent TM poster "How Confident Are You?" to post

November 2006 – VP Membership, VP Education, Sergeant-at-Arms met with Frank Tortorello of Career Services about possible Table Topics Contest for Students with prizes to winners at Saturday Career Day.

January 12, 2007 – News article published in Lancaster Intelligencer Journal (B3) – announcing club is open to public

February 2007 – News article published in The College Neighbor, A Newsletter from the Campus Community Coalition announcing club is open to public

March 2007 – News article published in F&M Gazette employee newsletter announcing contestant winners in the International Speech and Evaluation Contests of Feb 27 and March 13.

May 21, 23, 25, 2007 – Promotional table at F&M Information Fair during the Beginnings Program for incoming fall students and parents

May 26, 2007 – News article published in Lancaster Intelligencer Journal (B3) – announcing the results of the election of the Executive Officers for year 2007-08.
